Gopala Krishnan K. Sundaram is an Assistant Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, the central bank of Malaysia, from August 2006. Prior to that he had been the Director of the Legal Department of the Bank. He studied law in the University of Malaya under a scholarship of the Bank and graduated with a Bachelor in Law with Honours degree in 1982 and has been with the Bank since, having served the Bank in various posts for over 25 years. He has been involved in technical assistance programmes of the Bank for the Bank of Namibia and the Reserve Bank of Pakistan.
