Régis Bismuth is Professor at Sciences Po Law School. He received a PhD in public international law from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2009 and passed the agrégation in public law in 2012. He also graduated from Columbia Law School (LL.M., 2009). His PhD on the international cooperation of financial regulatory authorities was awarded the Joseph Hamel Prize by the French Academy of Moral and Political Sciences (Académie des sciences morales et politiques - Institut de France).
His main research and teaching interests lie within public international law, international monetary and financial law, international economic law, and international litigation. He is the author of several studies on sovereign wealth funds, sovereign debt, WTO law, international investment law and arbitration, international financial standards, sovereign immunities, international organizations, independent administrative authorities, extraterritoriality, the responsibility of multinational corporations and animal rights.
He is the Director of Studies of the French Branch of the ILA and member of its executive board.
